Elephanta Festival - Elephanta Festival is one of the most celebrated festival in Mumbai. The festival is observed in the month of February every year at Elephanta islands. During the festival the entire island turns in to a festive place with a large number of performers displaying their dance feats. The two days long Elephanta Festival is organised by Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) every year with a view to promote culture and tourism in Mumbai.

Banganga Festival - Banganga Festival is another sought after festival celebrated with loads of fun and zeal in the city of Mumbai. The festival is celebrated every year during the month of January at the famous Malabar Hills. The festival that lasts for 2 days is another attempt of MTDC (Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation) to promote travel and culture in the cultural city of Mumbai.

Ganesh Chaturthi - Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the most celebrated and sought after festival of Mumbai. The festival is observed on the eve of Lord Ganesha's birthday every year during the months of August and September. Also called Ganesha Mahotsava, the festival goes on for 10 days throughout the country with States like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh celebrating it in the most grandiose manner. Ganesha is one of the most revered deity of Hindus. He is known to be the Lord of Beginnings and the Remover of obstacles(Vigneshvara). During the festival, Pandals are set after every few meters with loud prayers, music and enthusiastic Patrons. The festival is celebrated with an unmatched zeal and vigor.
Kala Ghoda - Kala Ghoda is the other famous and much desired festival in Mumbai. Mumbai is a cultural hub and has many milestone achievements (to promote culture) furnished under its name. Kala Ghoda festival is yet another attempt of Mumbai to foster art and culture. Kala Ghoda festival is celebrated every year on all Sundays (from November to January) near Jehangir art gallery. Kala Ghoda is a district in South Mumbai. The people of the district decided to form an association called Kala Ghoda Association to elevate art and cultural forms of the region.
