Banganga Festival is another sought after festival celebrated with loads of fun and zeal in the city of Mumbai. The festival is celebrated every year during the month of January at the famous Malabar Hills. The festival that lasts for 2 days is another attempt of MTDC (Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation) to promote travel and culture in the cultural city of Mumbai. Music maestros and dance performers from all nooks and corners of the country come to perform at Banganga festival. Banganga festival derived its name from the holy Banganga tank placed in the precincts of the renowned Walkeshwar Temple of Mumbai. During the festival the entire festive region is beautifully adorned with flowers, lights and decorations. Music concerts and several dance performances are also displayed during the festival. People who have a taste for culture and art most enjoy the Banganga festival.
